If you download Workbench you can do it through that. At the bottom of the edining screen you get the option to assign patches to the XTLive presets. See if that helps. (Workbench is a free download if you own XTLive).

Have you tried uninstalling then reloading from the CD, and then updating that version (also download Workbench again in case that got corrupted)? Try as fresh an install as possible

Check your Java installation. Workbench uses Java Runtime Environment (JRE). Go here to get your Java installation up to date: http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp

I got Variax Workbench for my birthday and I think it is 1.0 version. I need 1.5 for my Variax acoustic, Do all I need to do is download the 1.5 update and will that be sufficient
