Corner bass traps 2 or 3
I dont have the room in one of my corners for a corner bass trap. Is it better to just the 2 front corners or should I do 3 corners

Hello I will be doing diy bass traps in future and trying to figure witch way to go. I have 3 options: - make 4'×2' panels 4 or 6" thick and put them in most corners. - make 2'×1'×1' panels ( shape of Auralex Lenrds ) and also copy

One problem that I read here and elsewhere of different ideas as to what a bass trap is ! I consider bass to be about 40 Hz to 160 Hz -ish, basically two octaves, Lower and we're sub-bass sub-woofer area which i'm ignoring.

Could a riser serve as bass trap?
I'm continually reading about the need for as many bass traps as possible. It seems that to effectively treat low frequencies Doing that would provide quite a few cubic feet of sound absorbtion Would it be an effective bass trap

I am listening to a rare cut from U2 called “Bass Trap”. It is aB side from “The Unforgettable Fire”. It is absolutely beautiful. the song is just a flowing guitar with a cool bass fill that just goes as if it is floating on the stream

Is it right to assume this will have the added benefit of acting as a bass trap? >> It appears you are trying to make the wall as rigid as possible by using 4" stud spacing. A rigid wall does the opposite of what a bass trap does.
