Mi chiamo Michele Diegoli, nasco a Ferrara il 17-06-76 e da sempre sono un grande amico della matita. Dopo le elementari e tre anni di conservatorio mi sono iscritto all'istituto d'arte (nella sezione disegno architettonico). Durante il periodo delle superiori ho avuto molte esperienze, ho potuto fare varie mostre ma soprattutto ho frequentato un corso di fumetto dove come insegnanti ho avuto due fumettisti ferraresi, Nicola Mari e Germano Bonazzi. Il corso mi ha messo di fronte alla realtà del mondo del fumetto ma soprattutto mi ha fatto conoscere molte persone, in particolare quei due disgraziati che mi trovo a fianco in questo progetto! Dopo l'istituto d'arte ho frequentato per un mese l'accademia delle belle arti a Venezia, ma ne sono uscito disgustato; l'anno successivo ho frequentato un corso di restauro dove ho potuto toccare con mano la magia della computer grafica ( usata in questo campo per restituire le ricostruzioni dei cantieri di restauro): è scoccata la scintilla! Da allora la passione per questa disciplina è cresciuta, tanto che da utente che usa i programmi voglio passare a creatore dei programmi, con l'obbiettivo di realizzare un programma di modellazione sviluppato sulle mie esigenze: così mi sono iscritto al D.U. di Informatica. Intanto, però, non smetto mai di disegnare a mano (il computer è solo uno strumento che l'artista usa, e non un sostitutivo dell'artista) e dopo molti anni dalla nascita della nostra fanzine mi ritrovo a creare nuovi personaggi e mondi per questo sito, proprio come nel periodo "cartaceo" di VD.

Hi, my name is Michele Diegoli and I was born on June 17, 1976, and I’ve always been in love with The pencil. After primary school (and three years of musical studies) I decide to attend at the Art institute of my city (architecture was my specialization). During this period I had various working experiences and have been able to participate to several exhibitions with my works. Most of all, I attended at a Comics Course held by two famous Italian artists, Nicola Mari and Germano Bonazzi. During the course I have been introduced to the world behind comics industry and I have met many friends, such as my two unconventional companions, Matteo and Francesco, partners-in-crime in the VD project! After my graduation at the Art Institute, i left the Art Academy of Venice after only a month since I was disgusted by their narrow minded way of teaching. I then decided to study restoration techniques in the following two years. it was during this time that I first met computer graphic (we used 3d reconstruction of ancient buildings and objects in order to study various restoration techniques): it was love at first sight! My fondness for CG grew from day to day and I am now successfully attending the Technological University in Ferrara with the idea of becoming a programmer! But my first love for pencil and paper never has never faded during the years. I’ve never stopped drawing (after all, the computer is just another tool for the artist, not THE artist) and, after many years since we gave birth to our fanzine, I’m still here creating new characters and worlds to inhabit this website, just like the old times of VD, back in the nineties!
