WHY
A MUSEUM ABOUT GOLD AND THE BESSA? –
The
Museum, or rather the “ Eco-museal Cell on Gold Prospecting and the
Bessa” has come into being in order to make people aware of a Biella
tradition, dating back thousands of years, which would otherwise have
disappeared.
This
Museum, however, has not been created simply to recall, but also to make
as clear as possible what one can see on visiting the Bessa, that
which remains of the greatest goldmine of ancient times.
And
that isn’t all; it also makes a new proposal, that of sharing the thrill
of finding a gold chip in the river, accompanied by our experts who, using
ancient gestures, will teach the art of gold prospecting to you.
