Promotional release:  Le copie originali sono uscite dalla fabbrica di stampa con un adesivo addizionale, un piccolo adesivo rettangolare bianco con la scritta rossa "MANUFACTURERS PROPERTY" "NOT FOR SALE" attaccato sul davanti sulla copertura trasparente.

EMI Promotional Release: Esiste anche una versione promozionale con una scritta dorata sull'etichetta, che dice "COMPLIMENTS OF   EMI PROMOTIONAL COPY   NOT FOR SALE", era destinata ad una ristretta cerchia di clienti famosi della EMI (quali produttori, dirigenti, ...), numeri sulla matrice: SHPF 1983 A-1U-1-1 / TML-S ; SHPF 1983 B-2U-1-3- / TML-M (stampati).

Mispressed Release (1): si tratta di alcune copie con un errore di stampa, la canzone "The hero's Return" pts. 1/2 è riportata sulla facciata A

Mispressed Release (2): si tratta di alcune copie con un diverso errore di stampa, la facciata A è completamente bianca, senza scritte, nè etichetta, mentre la seconda facciata è normale.

Mispressed Release (3): si tratta di alcune copie con un diverso errore di stampa, tutte e due le facciate hanno l'etichetta totalmente bianca, senza scritte; numeri sulle matrici: SHPF 1983 A-1U-1-2 TML-S ; SHPF 1983 3-2U-1-4 TML-M TML-M (stampati).

Testpressing Release:  si tratta di un'edizione speciale test-pressing con 2LP, sono due singoli album stampati su una sola facciata ciascuna; la copertina è differente leggera, apribile nera con le mostrine militari, per il resto è uguale all'edizione normale; le etichette sono verdi uniformi, è riportata la data del 25 febbraio 1983; numeri sulle matrici:

1) SHPF 1983 A-6U-1-1-1 TML-X ; SHPF 1983 B-5U-1-1- TML-S (stampati);

2) SHPF 1983 A-6U-1-1-1 TML-X ; SHPF 1983 B-3U-1-1-1 TML-M (stampati).

Copies for Export in France: Le copie inglesi furono anche esportate in Francia dalla FNAC, riportavano sul davanti un adesivo tondo bianco con "fnac" "importation directe", sul retro mostravano un secondo adesivo rettangolare bianco con i bordi azzurri e rossi, riportava le scritte "IMPORT ANGLETERRE" in rosso, "PATHE' MARCONI" ed il logo della EMI in azzurro e "2 rue Emile Pathè 78400 CHATOU" "CNTRAT BIEM/IFPIN° 50" in rosso, in alto a destra riportavano anche il codice di prezzo "PM 291" su un piccolo adesivo dorato.

Frontcover:  copertina apribile nera con le mostrine militari.

Backcover:  sul retro in alto a destra riporta "SHPF 1983", "TCSHPF 1983" e "16 5042 1" (dentro un riquadro), in mezzo a loro un codice a barre bianco con il numero "5 099916 504219"; a sinistra riporta titolo, scaletta dei brani, crediti completi e catalogo originario "shpf 1983", oltre a "Sleeve printed in England" e "Manufactured in England" (in bianco, ma si conoscono copie con le due scritte in rosso/fucsia).
