Release informations: box uscito nel agosto del 1997, si tratta di una particolare riedizione del box originale inglese, ma con i dischi in versione rimasterizzata del 1997 ed in numero inferiore, edizione limitata con dischi da 180 grammi, contiene "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn", "Atom Heart Mother", "The Dark Side of the Moon", "Wish You Were Here", "Animals", "The Wall" e "Relics", ogni disco ha una copertina apribile, uno speciale adesivo colorato nel mezzo (quelli con l'immagine sfuocata) e con uno speciale catalogo dei Floyd all'interno.

Frontcover: la copertina del box si presenta marmorizzata con l'adesivo rotondo centrale stampato, che raffigura il motivo della copertina di "The Piper at..." e la scritta "PINK FLOYD".

Different Weight Notes: Le primissime copie di questo box uscirono erroneamente con i dischi stampati su vinile da 120 a 130 grammi (invece di 180 come nei successivi), e perciò abbastanza difficili da trovare; il probabile motivo fu che i dischi contenuti nel box uscirono anche singolarmente (vedi discografie delle singole edizioni), la EMI inglese decise comunque di realizzare il box contemporaneamente e probabilmente i dischi realizzati come singoli, che pesavano di meno (da 120 a 130 grammi, ma parecchie copie anche da 170 grammi), finirono nelle prime confezioni del box; la strategia cambiò quasi subito, quando decisero di immettere sul mercato il box con i nuovi dischi ristampati da 180 grammi, che normalmente si trovano dentro il box.

Si tratta di uno speciale box israeliano di tre dischi del 1979; sembra che non sia stata una edizione ufficiale, bensì fu prodotto da una catena di negozi in Israele (la "Black Hole Records") usando inizialmente tre stampe ufficiali israeliane di "Atom Heart Mother" e "The Dark Side of the Moon" della Portrait e "Wish You Were Here" della CBS, inserite dentro un box autoprodotto, con la copertina che mostrava un collage di immagini; fonti israeliane segnalano che sarebbero state stampate circa 100 copie del box; nel corso del tempo, il box fu venduto anche con altri prodotti israeliani, se ne conoscono almeno tre versioni:

1) "Atom Heart Mother", "The Dark Side of the Moon", "Wish You Were Here";

2) "Meddle", "The Dark Side of the Moon", "Wish You Were Here";

3) "Meddle", "Atom Heart Mother", "Wish You Were Here".

Release Notes:  i motivi della sua produzione, seppur limitata, non sono stati mai scoperti, ma è una prova del collegamento che c'era alla fine degli anni '70 tra la vecchia CBS Records israeliana e la nuova Portrait Records; e fu una catena di negozi che comunque creò questo box, non del tutto ufficiale; infatti, il box non uscì ufficialmente, furono usati dischi già editi e pubblicati e non aveva un numero di catalogo vero e proprio.

Inserts:  includeva all'interno due inserti: una specie di foglio che riportava la discografia israeliana dei Floyd sino a "The Wall", ed un cappellino da baseball rosa fluorescente, con la scritta "PINK FLOYD IN THE HOLY LAND THE 70's" in inglese ed israeliano.

Release Notes: fu creato dalla EMI ITALIANA in esclusiva mondiale per lanciare i Pink Floyd nel loro primo album, che come sappiamo in Italia è arrivato tardivamente 4 anni più tardi rispetto alla distribuzione in Gran Bretagna; i dischi all'interno portano il numero di catalogo del cofanetto (diverso da quello originale e col suffisso "Y"), pur mantenendo la grafica della loro etichetta originale, anche la data del lacquer-cutting sul run-off è quella delle prime stampe.

Box Sleeve: il box di colore verde si presenta sul davanti con il titolo "progressive story" colorato e poco sotto con la mucca di "Atom Heart Mother", con i nomi delle quattro band ai lati della mucca; in alto a sinistra c'è il numero di catalogo "3C 162-50 132-135 Y", con poco sotto il logo della EMI dentro un riquadro azzurro e sotto ancora la scritta "STEREO" dentro un riquadro; il retro del box è bianco con le scritte azzurre; riporta il titolo "progressive story" in alto, poi riporta le scalette dei singoli LP in quattro riquadri.

Inner sleeves: i dischi all'interno del box non hanno la loro copertina originale, ma solo un inner bianco, con scritte azzurre; riporta il titolo del box ed il nome della band in alto a sinistra, il numero di catalogo ed il logo della casa discografica in alto a destra (EMI-Capitol, EMI-Columbia, EMI Records, EMI-Harvest); in basso riporta la scaletta dei brani su due colonne centrate a sinistra.

Inserts: include all'interno un inserto di 4 pagine con una speciale storia foto-biografica di ognuna delle quattro band, scritta da Carlo Basile, l'inserto riporta il titolo ed uno speciale disegno.

speciale box con 11 album dei Pink Floyd uscito il 1° giugno 1979, da "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" a "Animals", incluso "Relics", tiratura limitata di circa 1.000 copie, includeva i picture-disc di "The Dark Side of the Moon" e "Wish You Were Here", il box si presenta tutto nero, con il titolo al centro in alto e in basso il motivo dell'interno di "The Dark Side of the Moon" (elettrocardiogramma), le etichette sono quelle originali dei singoli dischi, così come le copertine.

French Export Release: la versione del box esportata in Francia aveva una piccola singolare particolarità, la Pathè Marconi ricevette dall'Inghilterra un lotto limitato di box da vendere nel territorio francese (si dice solo 100), a cui applicò uno speciale adesivo rettangolare rosso sul retro del box, che riportava "OFFRE SPECIALE PF 11/23", il codice di prezzo "PM903", la frase "TIRAGE LIMITE N° 098" (col numero messo dalla Pathè Marconi) e la scritta in grande "LES 11 PREMIERS ALBUM" "Animals / *Wish You Were Here" "* The Dark Side Of The Moon / La Vallée" "Meddle / Atom Heart Mother / Ummagumma" "More / A Saucerful Of Secrets" "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn / Relics" e "dont *2 PHOTOS DISQUES", da notare che il titolo di "Obscured By Clouds" era riportato nell'adesivo con il titolo del film "La Vallée".

si tratta di un box edito in Italia con 10 album dei Floyd, edizione a tiratura limitata, copertina bianca con i mattoni stile "The Wall", titolo in nero in alto al centro, il retro del box presentava invece i titoli degli album presenti all'interno; da notare che in origine gli album erano sigillati e "Wish you were here" aveva la sovracopertina di plastica nera senza adesivo.

dopo la prima decade del mese di dicembre del 2016, il sito ufficiale dei Pink Floyd ha messo in commercio i primi 12 dischi rimasterizzati usciti fino ad allora nel 2016, pubblicizzandoli per il 2017, venduti insieme in un unico blocco (anche se non è un box), che contiene 12 LPs singoli, al prezzo di $ 325,00; il sito dei Floyd riporta questa uscita come ristampe per il 2017 ("All 12 LPs reissued as part of the 2017 Vinyl Collection re-release"), ma sono le stesse edizioni del 2016.

Records Wrap:  ogni disco era ricoperto da uno speciale foglio bianco, con la scritta in rilievo rotonda "PINK FLOYD" "PINK FLOYD RECORDS" "THE VINYL COLLECTION" in basso a destra, attraverso esso si intravedeva la copertina del disco, ogni disco era completo anche con l'adesivo della Pink Floyd Records (vedi sopra).
