Since a wildfire can happen at anytime (the weeds have changed the 'normal' fire season), you'll need to water lightly every two weeks if it doesn't rain
We ask that customers water their plants 1/week for the first dry season and then once/two weeks every year for the first two months following the rainy period.(Water your plants extra each spring if you live in a fire-prone area.) If you have a dry rainy season, water extra to bring the irrigation up to normal rainfall levels, if possible
Our experience says it is not so! During the first major rain the native sites have high erosion, and after the third or fourth rain erosion ceases
On seeded sites the erosion is slightly less the first few rains (the "grass" only comes up in areas of richer, deeper soil of fairly flat aspect and then only after the second or third rain), but because of fire frequency, crippling of the underground ecosystem, low biodiversity, and the dominant presence of shallow-rooted, alien species not part of the plant community, erosion is much, much greater long term
