Hmm it seems a lot of ISPs are still offering to subscribers the infamous Alcatel (now Thomson) SpeedTouch 330, a USB ADSL modem. It usually works with Windows, but to get it work with a GNU/Linux distro, it needs some grease.

Am încercat să îmi fac să meargă modemul DSL Speedtouch 330 (USB) pe Slackware 10.2 şi încă nu mi-a reuşit. Am găsit site-ul ăsta şi am făcut cam ce scria Acolo zice ceva de firmware update pentru modem (dă şi nişte link-uri).

bonjour !! voila mon probleme est simple c'est a dire que je suis souvent deconnecté quand je suis sur le net !! je suis en adsl 2048 mon modem c'est le alcatel speedtouch 330 !! en fait ce qu'il se passe c'est que en bas dans la barre

i have installed the driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8756-pkg1.run under suse 10.1 I used the speedtouchconf script successfully to connect my alcatel speedtouch 330 usb adsl modem, under suse 10.1 I then installed the nvidia driver for my
