THE VOID || DARK METAL -
ITALY|| |
|
|
|
1998 - "The Void" born in Genoa in 1998 thanks
to Sanathis (keyboards) and Demon (guitar-voice).
1999 - Dimash (drums) and Barniak (Bass) joined the
band… The Void is reality.
2000 - "The Void" begin to perform live. Finally
the five members release their first demo.
2002 - In the first days of 2002 the guitarist Iron
left the band and the group continues with four elements.
In the meanwhile, they continue the live exhibitions…
in January 2002 The Void open Paul Chain's show.
2002 - Between March and April 2002 the second demo
is recorded, "Her Obscure Heart." The songs
(Morrigan, Nyx, Neman) continue the steps already begun
by The Void, even if sad and melancholic atmosphere
very often prevail on the dark tones.
The same atmosphere of nihilistic sadness can be found
in the two new trax, "Tears" and "Slavic",
which open a new demo that for "The Void"
is a way to make the point of the situation.
2003 - The music is more evolved, losing in some episodes
the dark connotation of the origins and assuming more
and more a suffering and afflicted vein. This is "Farewell",
a sort of summary of The Void's career that is opened
by the two new trax, that continues with two songs from
the first demo but arranged and played again, and that
is closed by the previous demo, "Her Obscure Heart"
and the last song of the first demo, "Sad Joke".
With this release, "The Void" want to reflect
on what they have done, giving a complete vision of
what they have created and how their music is evolved
during these years. |
