Spellcraft come from Italy and they play Dark Gothic
Metal in the widest sense of the term starting from
bands such as Paradise Lost, Anathema and Katatonia
but with a strong dose of personalization of the sound.
They started in 1997 but only in 2000, with the attainment
of a stable line-up they record the first demo-CD "Faded."
Two years pass and after a retouch to the line-up, the
band releases a new self-financed work "Tears Like
Rain" (mcd 2002). Five tracks of Dark Heavy Rock
played with power but without forgetting the melody,
winning weapon that characterizes the Spellcraft's sound.
The CD is full of personality and is less influenced
by the founders of the Goth Metal, creating a particular
style that will be the trademark of the band. As concerns
the vast live repertoire, among the groups with which
Spellcraft have shared the stage we can remember Novembre,
Morgana's Kiss and Klimt 1918. The band is now preparing
other live appointments and of course the stuff destined
to be part of the first the full-length of the band.
