Los Carayos, Kortatu, Mano Negra, Negu Gorriak, Radio Bemba, Fermin Muguruza, Manu Chao si sono incontrati per strada in questi ultimi 20 anni.
Nel gennaio di questo 2003 si sono riuniti Fermin, Manu, Gambeat, David, Julio, Gerard, Madjid, Chuko, Diallo, Moussa, Joni di « Hace Color » per mettere in piedi il <Jai Alai Katumbi Express>, rivendicando la comunicazione diretta, le parole,  l' aprire gli occhi e chiudere la televisione, le sale che ogni giorno dell’anno appoggiano le bande programmando dei concerti, i luoghi dimenticati, il sudore e la pelle, il contatto stretto, vicino, tutto quello che non è convenzionale, denunciando la guerra e la marea nera politica.

Ringraziamo tutta la gente che già si  è avvicinata per condividere con noi la vita sulle terre di Cuenca, Alicante, Murcia o Andalucia.

Ci scusiamo per quelli che non hanno potuto venire per colpa dell' ossigeno vitale che limita lo spazio delle sale.

Proviamo a trasmettere con la nostra musica, i nostri sentimenti, la speranza  in questo mondo sempre più disumanizzato.

Un abbraccio grande per tutti e tutte, ai cercatori di utopie.

Iniziò la sua « tournée » il 1 di gennaio alle 10h35…

Con soltanto un’ora di ritardo sull’orario previsto..

Tutto un successo!

Uscì in “tournée” nei  cunicoli della penisola.

Quasi di nascosto…

In sale piccolissime..

Sale con poco spazio.

Senza avvisare…

E' tutta una questione di energia.

  ...

Jai Alai vuol dire «fiesta alegra» ma si richiama naturalmente alla pelota basca, quel gioco con paletta, gancio e pallina che si fa in campi con una parete di cemento dove viene lanciata a tutta velocità e bisogna prenderla al volo.
  Katumbi invece è il barrio di Rio de Janeiro dove Manu si reca spesso.

The 1 of January to 10h35 begins the <<tournèe>>… With only an hour of delay on the timetable previewed. All is happening!
¶It exited in "tournée" in the narrow lanes of the penisola. Almost secretly… In rooms very small. Rooms with little space.
Without to inform… is all one energy issue

...
