Will a new HD quiet my TiBook?
The IBM Travelstar 20GB HD in my TiBook is awfully noisy, and even my Clamshell iBook puts it to shame noise-wise (I'm aware they have the same type of HD, but the surrounding of the HD is much better)

I pulled it out of a dell laptop and its been used witha OS on my car pc for awhile and works flawless. I will reformat it and sell it blank 15.00 plus shipping

On the IBM T42 the administrator bios password is stored in an Atmel 24rf08. The "IBM security chip" is a National chip - there is one on the motherboard and there is one on the ibm travelstar harddrive board
