Lara Croft Angelina Jolie is back in big screen in summer 2003 in LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE.
Facing her greatest challenger yet, Lara jet skis, rides horses, motorcycles and much more through such exotic locations as Hong Kong, Kenya, Tanzania, China, Siberia and Greece (Santorini) as she searches for an infamous site know as "The Cradle of Life".

The film which is to be released July 25, 2003, co-stars Beninese actor Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator, Amistad) in the role of a Maasai warrior in the paramount pictures movie sequel.
As in the first film, "Tomb Raider II: The Cradle of Life" is built around the heroine of Eidos Interactive's incredibly successful "Tomb Raider" game series the English aristocrat Lara Croft (played by Angelina Jolie) who made her entrance in 1996. The first "Tomb Raider" movie grossed $47.7 million the first weekend and went on to earn nearly $300 million worldwide.

Tony Scott (Top Gun, Enemy of the State, True Romance, Spy Game) had long been attached to direct, but he's dropped out, and has been replaced by Jan De Bont.

Il primo film TOMB RAIDER fu un grosso successo: incassò 47.7 milioni di dollari nel primo week-end di programmazione e complessivamente ha guadagnato più di 300 milioni di dollari.
Il regista Tony Scott per lungo tempo era stato il più probabile candidato a dirigire il secondo film, ma successivamente la produzione ha scelto Jan De Bont.

Synopsis: This time around, archaeologist and explorer extraordinaire Lara Croft journeys to a temple, sunken underwater, that leads to a sphere that contains the mythical Pandora's Box, only to have it stolen from her by Chen Lo, the leader of a Chinese crime syndicate, who's in league with a bad guy named Reiss who wants to use the Box as a doomsday weapon.
