ANTHRAX
First it was only a
rumour, now it's official: Bass player Frank Bello has decided to leave
ANTHRAX! This is the band's official statement on the matter: "Due to
internal reasons, Joey Vera (ARMORED SAINT, FATES WARNING) will be
temporarily handling bass playing duties for ANTHRAX on their upcoming
tours of Japan and Australia."
ANTHRAX will play this tour as headliner together with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE
and SOILWORK.
The band's next release will be the live DVD "Music Of Mass Destruction",
due in April.
DEATH ANGEL
Bay Area thrashers DEATH ANGEL have announced the final tracklist of their
upcoming album "The Art Of Dying":

In other news, DEATH ANGEL have been added to the TESTAMENT/SADUS bill on
March 27th at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco. The band's previously
announced shows with FLOTSAM AND JETSAM at Chasers in Phoenix have been
moved to April 9th & 10th.
DIMMU BORGIR
Norway's kings of Black Metal DIMMU BORGIR have won the Norwegian Grammy
award "Spellemannsprisen" for their current album "Death Cult Armageddon".
The band outrivaled ENSLAVED and OLD MAN'S CHILD that were nominated in
the "Metal" category as well. Congratulations!
In other news the band will show up at several European festivals this
summer, see dates on the right.
IN FLAMES
"The Quiet Place", IN FLAMES' current single from the upcoming album "Soundtrack
To Your Escape", hit the Swedish single charts on position 2 and also
entered the hit lists in several other countries! Congratulations!
The complete new album will be released on March 29th.
IN FLAMES and KILLSWITCH ENGAGAE will set off for a co-headlining US tour,
starting on May 3rd in the Midwest. The tour will last about a month and
shall end on June 4th on the East Coast. More information about the exact
dates and venues will be announced soon.
KATAKLYSM
KATAKLYSM's new album "Serenity In Fire" gets in stores on March 22nd.
In other news the band plans to release a DVD named "Test Of Time" soon
which shall contain live and behind-the-scenes footage from their upcoming
"No More Serenity" tour, the band's video clips and some exclusive
interviews.
