Le estremità sono le parti più difficili da unire, il compensato deve assumere una  curvatura complessa. Viene sagomato con ripetute pennellature di acqua, agendo per fasi successive. Prima si torce il compensato per adeguarlo alla giunzione tra fianchi e carena poi, quando ha preso forma,  si uniscono le due mezze carene sulla linea di chiglia.

The ends are the most difficult elements to joint, the plywood has to get a complex bending. It is shaped with a repeated brushwork of water, acting step by step. Before: the plywod has to be bent to fit the edge (chine) between the side and the hull. After: when  the plywood has got the proper  shape , the two half hulls are stitched onto the keel line.
