		CANALEGRANDEINSEQUENZA (o TRICOLORE) first published on FLUXLIST around August 1999 - to little response I'm afraid - but hey I like it. "CANALEGRANDEINSEQUENZA" has not as yet (14/12/1999) been performed. CANA E AN E N EQUENZA Alan Bowman 07/1999 L GR D I S (o TRICOLORE) see the animated gif performance here Room - dark 20 performers 20 music stands + score sheets 20 caving lamps (or other lamps that can be worn on the head) 20 red torches 20 green torches conductor/metronome bell/horn scoresheet consists of a square grid 20x20 Each performer has a number corresponding to a line of the score, this line is their starting point Where the score indicates green, green torch is flashed on and off (or for a variation - "on" on the first green, off on the second and so on) Where the score indicates red, red torch is flashed on and off (or for a variation - "on" on the first red, off on the second and so on) Where the score indicates white - nod head (or shake, tilt - to be decide beforehand) Where nothing is indicated - do nothing! Each performer begins with their own line and works through the score until all lines are done (or for a specified time - e.g. the length of time it take the #1 vaporetto to go from Piazzale Roma to Santa Maria Elisabetta) How the score is generated All the vaporetto stops on the Grande Canal are listed Where the letters LGISRD C and Z (Left, Links, Guache, Izquierda, Sinistra, Right, Rechts, Droite (à), Derecha, Destra, Centre, Zentrum, Centre, Centro, Centro)[English, German, French, Spanish, Italian]- [more languages ca be used] appear in the names of the stops they are marked with either red for LGIS, green for R and D, or a white circle for C and Z These coloured marks correspond with a certain position on a grid (20x20) e..g. PiazzaleRoma (spaces are omitted) has a green at position 2 and 7, and a red at position 9 (I,L,R) Piazzale Roma is the 1st stop on the Canale Grande and therefore is line 1 of the score - so, squares 1, 7 and 9 on line 1 are coloured accordingly.
