SgrV4641 Galactic Microquasar - Homepage

Position: RA 18 19 21.64 Decl. -25 24 25.1

 

Very interesting Galactic Object, this microquasar is again in activity after the peculiar behaviour in 2002 (event observed on 2002 July 7)

The VSNET Group have been follow the outburst in May-July 2002 and a peculiar scenario is coming out.

2004 Observations

 

After the alert of R. Stubbing in Vsnet-alert, I Can also confirm the
outburst of SGR V4641. In alleged images is visible the long flash about 20
sec taken on 2004 07 04.99 UT with an 8 cm refractor f/5 and Canon 10D, 20 sec of exposition.

The p magnitude of the "star" in the image is about 11.5
