Michele Caputo has done work on the Grassmann manifolds and in topology. Has done theoretical and experimentally work in the diffusion of fluids with the fractional derivative models. Introduced and applied the fractional derivative of distributed order. He introduced and used extensively the fractional memory formalisms in finance and economics. Found an upper limit to the screening of gravity. Produced the mechanical model for the Guntenberg-Richter law. He introduced the Equator-flucht Kraft (the fleeing force from the equator opposed to the Pole-flucht Kraft). Computed the splitting of the eigenvalues of planets due to the ellipticity. Has done theoretical and experimental work in photogrammetry. Has done the seminnal mathematics of CAT (Computed Axial Tomography).
