Tv Witch Shannen Puts Hex On Rival Alyssa

Bad girl Shannen Doherty is fuming about being upstaged by Alyssa Milano -- on her own show!

Melrose Place cutie Alysa, 25, was hired recently by TV hotshot Aaron Spelling to join star Shannen in the upcoming serie Charmed -- the adventures of three sisters who use witchcraft to battle evil.

But when ex-Beverly Hills, 90210 star Shannen found out about Alyssa, she called Spelling and went ballistic.

"No one bothered to tell her this was happening. She thought the whole show was being built around her," says a source.

"Aaron tried to reassure her but she's still feeling upset and humiliated."

Shannen, 27, who earned a reputation as a Hollywood hellcat before being axed from Beverly Hills, 90210 in 1993, regarded Charmed as her big opportunity to make a comeback.

"Bringing is another hot, young, beautiful star to steal her thunder was a real slap in the face," adds the source.
