American drag race trophy girl , remembered as knockout woman who
brought excitement to the race .
Barbara Roufs jonied the drag race scene in the early '70s when the
competition had evolved from the golden ages of sixties .
The old model of cars had been replaced with the newer version ,
and the ladies evolved too ; hair grew long , shorts got very short ,
and bras got burned !
With her broad straightened hair , easy-breezy freedom tanks , and
old sixties gogo boots , Barbara was a perfect candidate for the
trophy girl .
Once Roufs' racing career started taking off , she gradually also
began her career as a model , and was featured in the magazines
like Drag News and Super Stock every month .
