gara motociclistica, dapprima a livello nazionale e in seguito
però snaturarlo in alcun modo: infatti i box vennero fatti arretrare e
mercato. |
This historical circuit was inaugurated in 1927 and was born with the
idea to equip the Germany of one modern and effective instrument in
order to test and to develop the own cars beyond that in order to
accommodate international contests. The conformation of the landscape
in which decided to develop this track it did not leave chosen the
engineers: climbs and reductions would have been the dominant topic
of the tracing therefore like passing in means to one true and own
green forest. Evocative and moving, the Ring had to enclose within of
himself all the characteristics in order to make it to become and to
remain for decades the beautiful and spectacular circuit of the World,
a circuit that still, at a distance nearly 70 years, conserve all the
fascination and the characteristics of the plan originates them. The
track came uniform in two parts: the mythical long Nordschleife
22,8Km and the shorter and less evocative Sudschleife many with its
7,7 Km. 18 and 19 June 1927, after two years of jobs, the first
motorcycle contest was carried out, at first to national and later on
international level; with passing of the time also the cars began to
compete on the tracing North being made transfer the motorbike on the
part South. Of the immediately previous period the Second World war
little news is had if not the destruction of part of the street
covering from part of the Americans tanks who used it nearly like a
parking. After the war, the region of the Eifel passed in the hands
of the France that, comprising some upgrades them, began the jobs in
order to arrange the damages endured from asphalt. The first grand
prix of Formula1, organise to you from the Germans, they came course
to leave from 1951 (won Ascari on Ferrari) and until 1969
modifications were not carried out; however growing of the
potentialities of the cars and the evident dangerousness of the
Nurburgring pushed to of the impressive jobs of get it news. To part
the design of the track came changed all: some ways of escape were
created and came increased the track beyond to the complete renew of
the bottom track. In 1970 it did not come accommodated the Circus of
the F1 that returned regularly in 1971 until the 1976 year of the
tragic incident of Niki Lauda, event that it made definitively to
close the relation of the F1 with the Nordschleife. Paradoxicalally
this decision was the safety of the Nurburgring later on the modern F1
will contribute in wide measure to disfigure the greater part of the
mythic circuits in order to replace them with new structures that more
better are adapted to the requirements of the television cameras and
of the public payer, sacrificing in such a way the show and the
emotions that only sure circuits knew to give to the money... but this
is history of our days. With the construction in first years ' 80 of
the new tracing of F1 (that it accommodated the Circus in it samples
you of the 84 and the 85 and later on from 1995 in ahead) came
slightly modified the old circuit without but under nature in some
way: in fact the box they came made to withdraw and the length of the
circuit passed from the 22,8Km original to the 20,8 puts into effect
them. The more important contest that still it is carried out on the
old tracing is the 24 hours of the Nurburgring, a competition that
every year attracts thousands of gets passionate to you from every
angle of Europe for being watching and also in order to participate.
Today the Nordschleife is the only open track more than 200 days to
the year to gets passionate you of all the world; many automotive
houses have opened centers of research and development in the
vicinities of the circuit where regularly it is possible to see
concept car disguised that they carry out test and tests before coming
sold into on the market.

rispettivamente a145 km/h e a 155 km/h.
medio.

Profile
A lap of
the Nurburgring with McLaren test driver Alexander Wurz:
"The
Nürburgring is a very traditional track and I need a good set-up with
not too much understeer to be quick.
The lap
starts on the pit straight where, depending on the wind, the highest
speed on the circuit is reached, this is approximately 180 mph (295
kph) on the approach to the first corner the Castrol-S. This corner is
taken in 3rd gear for the right-hand section then for the left-hand
part I maintain 3rd gear and almost full acceleration on a
qualifying lap.
Castrol is
where Ayrton Senna crashed on the opening lap of the 1984 GP.
In 1997 Giancarlo Fisichella and Ralf Schumacher 'tripped over' each
other, Ralf's brother Michael was also taken out.
Then a
short straight where I reach over 165 mph (270 kph) in 5th gear leads
into a difficult part of the circuit with a fast left-hand corner
taken in 4th at around 115 mph (185 kph), this is immediately followed
by the tight right-hand Ford Kurve, a 2nd gear corner taken at just
under 70 mph (110 kph).
Next is
another short straight where I reach about 175 mph (280 kph) before
the tight 2nd gear hairpin at Dunlop, which I take at just over 55 mph
(90 kph). Traction out of this corner is very important as it leads
into a very fast kink taken in 5th gear at 155 mph (250 kph). This
corner is almost flat, I just lift off slightly and dab the brakes at
same time to stabilise the car.
Out of
this corner I accelerate up to over 180 mph (290 kph) in top gear
before going into the two third gear left and right-hand corners at
RTL and BIT, which lead on to the back straight. These are taken at 90
mph (145 kph) and 95 mph (155 kph) respectively.
The long
straight to the chicane is generally the fastest part of the circuit
(depending on the wind) where I reach around 185 mph (300 kph) before
braking very hard for the second gear Veedol Schikane, which is taken
at around 62 mph (100 kph). On the approach to Coca-Cola, I get up to
140 mph (225 kph) in 4th gear before dropping back to 2nd gear and 70
mph (110 kph) for this important corner which leads back on to the pit
straight. "
Veedol is
where Michael Schumacher passed Jean Alesi
to win the 1995 GP.
Despite
the tight nature of the track the smooth track gives fairly good grip
so teams will opt for medium downforce settings.
