La ristrutturazione di una abitazione popolare con il metodo LCA - Micol Centorrino

Abstract

The present study is a result of a collaboration between the Authority for new technologies, energy and environment (ENEA) and Gaia Villages soc.coop.a.r.l..

The study concerns the application of the LCA methodology (Life Cycle Assessment) in order to evaluate the environment damage due to buildings redecoration. The assumed redecoration consists in vertical wall’s acoustic and thermal isolation and in the substitution of the existing winter and summer air-conditioning systems and for the production of hot water for health service by the use of renewable energetic sources. The plants’ and building’s sheath life times together with all phases of their life cycles are considered, from raw materials’ extraction to the production, use and finally to their disposal and recycle, in order to learn all the inputs (materials and energy absorption) and outputs (emissions and rejections) produced in the transformation and use  processes.
