Il Ristorante Il Moro è situato sulla piazza principale del paese di Capriata d’Orba, circondato da antichi palazzi seicenteschi, sopra ai quali si eleva imponente il robusto campanile della chiesa parrocchiale.

The Restaurant Il Moro is located on the main square of the town of Capriata d’Orba, surrounded by elegant 17th century buildings, dominated by the imposing bell tower of the local parish church.

      

Le sale si presentano calde e semplici, ma eleganti, accompagnate dal calore dei camini; in estate si può cenare nel dehors all’aperto, dove anticamente si svolgeva il mercato del paese.

The dining rooms are elegant whilst at the same time providing an informal atmosphere, with their wonderful open fireplaces.
There is also the possibility of dining “al fresco” in the summer, on the site of the ancient livestock market.


  
La cucina è prettamente piemontese, basata sulla stagionalità dei prodotti e sulle tradizioni locali e della zona, alcune ricette sono state rivisitate dalla cuoca Simona, Claudio vi presenterà la carta dei vini, con un’ampia scelta di produzioni locali.

The cuisine is basically in typical Piedmont style, using local seasonal produce, some of the recipes having been given a creative makeover by the chef Simona; while Claudio is at hand in the dining room to present the wine list featuring a wide choice of fine local wines.
