A Cry of Peace
This wrong war has begun. The antagonists did not listen to the Pope’s appeals. The responsibility is great for those who judged that all means of resolution, established by international law, were exhausted. Now we ask for courage and the foresight of moderation from America, whose history is, to us, a reference point for freedom.
Today, in order to implore God for peace through the heart’s conversion, the invitation to pray the Rosary, to penance and to fasting is more valid than ever. The desire for peace can be saved and bear fruit, more so than by whimsical protests that feed further hate, within an educational path that is based on the decisive announcement resounding from Saint Peter’s Square: “Only Christ can renew hearts and again give hope to all the people.” (John Paul II, Angelus, March 16, 2003)
This is why we are with the Holy Father and his judgment.
