The TI-89 is an advanced graphing calculator made by Texas Instruments with the intended market of math and engineering college students. It is a variation of the TI-92 and TI-92 Plus models; contained in a traditional TI-8X style case, it uses a 10MHz variation of the Motorola MC68000 microprocessor. It is fully compatible with the TI-92+ calculator, however the screen (LCD) is smaller (160x100) and the unit is equipped with 512K of memory, a large chunk of that is the flash rom. Three dimensional graphing, symbolic manipulation, pretty print, and upgradable flash ROM make the TI-89 a truly superior calculator.
