Nel 1981 Rikk Agnew alla chitarra, Tony "Montana" Cadena alla voce e Steve Soto al basso, registrarono (per la Frontier) uno degli album punk piu` maturi del 1981.Quello degli Adolescentes è un punk melodico, assimilabile a quello dei Ramones, con in più una buona dose di ironia a dispetto della maggior parte delle altre punk bands dai contenuti abbastanza esasperati. Gli Adolescentes si sciolsero dopo l'album di debutto.

In 1981 Rikk Agnew at guitar, Tony "Montana" Cadena at voice and Steve Soto at bass, recorded, for the label Frontier, one of the most "adult" punk album of that year. Adolescentes' melodic punk can be associated with Ramones, with more hirony than the other exasperated bands. The Adolescents split up after one year from the debut album.
