MS Photo Editor
Suddenly (after years of use) MS Photoed won't open even when I by-pass the shortcut or click on a JPG. When I go into Program Files, Microsoft Shared,PhotoEd, PhotoEd.exe; double click on the EXE does nothing.

I liked it so much that when I upgraded Office, I reinstalled Office 2000 so I could copy PhotoEd.exe off the hard drive. As I hoped, it works as a standalone. It's no Photoshop, but it's a small file, runs fast, works easy.

Microsoft Photo Editor comes free with Microsoft Office but often doesn't get installed on your menu. You may have to search for it. Search for PHOTOED.EXE although it is possible it only gets installed on Windows 2000,
