Cell phone tax passed on first reading Sioux City Journal
SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Starting Jan. 1, South Sioux City residents could be paying a 4 percent tax on their cell phone bills. The City Council voted 7-0 Monday on the first reading of the ordinance implementing the tax. The measure must pass twice more before it would go into effect, likely on Jan. 1.
