This is the 4th Show of Bob Dylan's 1984 tour with former Rolling Stones guitarist Mick

Taylor. It is interesting to hear how the songs are evolving now from these first 4 shows.

We get a real treat on this one with "To Ramona" and with Willie Nelson's "Why Do I Have to Choose."

Right now is the 20th Anniversary of those shows and I thought it would be cool to release each show

to STG on the date of the actual show plus 20 years. So, here is the third show and we'll see

if I can keep up with the rest of the tour. Enjoy.

Santana report: Screwed up the end of "Blowing in the Wind" starting at about 3:32. This guy is bad.

BTW, These shows really highlight how BAD Santana was, playing in the wrong key, at

the wrong time and playing a part which did NOT fit into the song. What was Bob

thinking with this guy? No artwork, enjoy!

Well this one puts us over the half-way mark of the tour and we are rewarded with a great

quality recording that catches that band on a very good / great night. This is the 14th

Show of Bob Dylan's 1984 tour with former Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor. Dylan

is taking it to the next level and the band is following along. The German fans are really

having a great time even though "Hurricane" is never played, lol. Dylan does reward the

enthusiastic crowd with a couple of treats. This is the first performance of "Leopard-Skin

Pill-Box Hat" this tour and the only performance of "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues"

played in 1984 and Dylan is in fine voice. Every song seems to be transcending itself

being pulled into greatness by some unrecognizable force. Taylor's interpretation on

"Simple Twist of Fate" and "Every Grain of Sand" is as usual great and different. Dylan

seems like he wants to take it easy at the beginning line of "Why Do I Have to Choose"

but he can't and is compelled to give it his all and it's great. Santana of course sucks. I

have the same comment about him as I do on every show. I'm sure everyone is tired of it

by now! He plays on the last 5 songs and screws them all up. What a shame.

Right now is the 20th Anniversary of those shows and I thought it would be cool to

release each show to STG on the date of the actual show plus 20 years. So, here is the

fourteenth show; only 13 more!!! We'll see if I can keep up with the rest of the tour.

This is the 16th Show of Bob Dylan's 1984 tour with former Rolling Stones guitarist

Mick Taylor. This is the only (to my useless and pointless knowledge) line recording of

an entire concert from any of the 1984 shows. This is reportedly Dylan's monitor feed;

which is interesting because of the mix. We get more keyboard then we have heard the

entire tour. Mick Taylor interestingly enough is hardly audible, especially at the

beginning. You can hear him a little better as the show goes on. It's a real shame he is

turned down so low because he is playing brilliantly. Dylan of course is very prominent

and you can really hear the echo on his voice on "I and I" very well. It's really cool to

hear that because on outtakes of the song from the recording sessions there is an echo that

is used. It is Interesting that they did it during the tour. Makes you wonder if Dylan

really liked it. The acoustic stuff is all great. I'm tired and hung-over so that is the

review for this one . . . oh yeah, Santana sucks! Lol Right now is the 20th Anniversary

of those shows and I thought it would be cool to release each show to STG on the date of

the actual show plus 20 years. So, here is the sixteenth show; only 11 more!!! We'll see

if I can keep up with the rest of the tour. So far so good!

HAS ANYONE BEEN ABLE TO LISTEN TO ALL OF THESE SO FAR????

Yes, I have both "Live at Palaeur" and "Oh, the Streets of Rome" and this offering is (well, would have been) a combination of both. "Live at Palaeur" does not have the Greg Sutton song on it so in the interest of a complete show I added "Imagination" to this offering. It was weird anyway because on the "Live at Palaeur" CD Dylan introduces Greg Sutton then his song is edited out. BTW, there is little difference between those two releases regardless of what you read.
