28 December 2000 : Sad Notice, Giovanni De Luigi leave the band!

After a long and nice period with Empty Tremor, the singer Giovanni De Luigi leave the band to enbark on a soloist career.Actually the band looking for a new member for the next album and of course for the next years.

Now with the official release of Eros & Thanatos you can hear some sound clips.

Finally,  ET's new masterpiece have been released in Europe.
Just go in your record shop and ask for Empty Tremor : Eros & Thanatos
The album will be distributed in Germany through SPV which is really great.

What a blast ! From the begininng intro of "The Future Needs ...", you can hear & feel how the band
has improved since their 1st album "Apocolokyntosys" which has beed recorded back in 1996.
Not only the songs but also the production, mix and the choice of the sounds shows the progression.
DeLuigi's voice is so perfect. Actually all band members are in top form.
All songs are very well composed. There are beautiful melodys,  killer riffs and odd time signaturs.
Eros & Thanatos has everything, a very good prog album. Empty Tremor have made an awesome
prog album. All 9 songs are great prog tunes. The incredible progressive instrumental "Chinese Box"
is a class of it's own. The powerfull "Always There" with killer riffs is a kick ass tune !
The  slower songs: "Star", "Lost In The Past" & "Just For Today" are so wonderful.
Beautiful melodies, and great vocals make these very special songs with "Lost In The Past" beinng
one of my all time favorites. A classic prog ballade. You have to love it.
The prog killer "Y2K" is damn good. The last 3 mins of this song contains progressive metal at
it's best. Only a few bands can write and play such a great stuff. You might allready heard the ending
parts formaly known as "The Unknown Kick Ass Song". Awesome stuff.
The epic "The Timeless Night" is in my opinion the best song on the album. It has everything.
The definitive Empty Tremor song ! A true prog masterpice.

Overall a fantastic album which all prog metal fans will like. A huge step forward for the band.
Empty Tremor has grown up as a band. Eros & Thanatos is very well written and produced.
If you like "Apocolokyntosys" then you will love the new album. It's even better.
