The Empty Tremor history begins in 1993.

Five young boys were growing in a small town out of the music world called Mezzano near Ravenna, where anything seemed to be reachable,even to play in a band !!!

Anyway, their native passion for music joined them, and they started to meet in a garage with some old instruments, trying to get out some noise.

So when Stefano Ruzzi was 14, Christian Tombetti was 15, Dennis Randi was 16, Marco Guerrini was 12 (!), the first singer De Paoli Davide entered the band after a while and the 'Noise Pollution' band was formed.

It took a little to be ready for the first cover tour around the near towns.

Metallica, Guns & Roses, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin was the daily train but they also started off with some personals ideas...

In one of those live performances the older guitarist Daniele Liverani  (23)saw the young guys and remained totally fascinated by their show.

At that moment he was playing keyboards in another Prog Metal project and also was trying to publish a personal guitar solo album recorded in U.S.A. with some cool musicians like Joey Vera, Ricky Wolking, Darren Housolder and others.

So he suspend everything and started to jam with them at the keys, and a magic sound mixture and frienship naturally borned.

He introduced them to all the Mike Varney productions, progressive metal bands, instructional videos, inducing to them a great amount of musical and technical colture.

The guys assimilated everything realy quickly with an increasing passion, demostrating an unexpected amount of talent and creativity that allowed them in a few time to be indipendent mature musicians and composers.

A real music developing environment was created, 8 our a day of research and study, so that in the early 95 the band changed their name to Empty Tremor  introducing definitely Daniele and a new singer Matteo Babini

It was the zero hour for the result of that research:

The first demo version of APOCOLOKYNTOSYS project.

In that period the guys had the chance of meeting their heros DREAM THEATER at Rimini VELVET show,

where they had some cool contacts like Mike Portnoy and John Petrucci.

They are still in corrispondence contact.

At the end of the Summer the Demo tape was completed and a first Label/Press opinion came out with really good reviews anyway there were no real deal opportunity.

In reason of that in the 96 year Empty Tremor restarted heavily to rearrange the project increasing the the time spent dor the technical and musical research, introducing the new promising singer Giovanni De Luigi.

Giovanni had the chance of meeting his great reference point for his singing influences, the great Glenn Hughes.

They spent some days in Treviso and even sang some songs together...

All the material was reconcepted for a better balance of the parts and a more musical impact, also new matured lirics powered the contents of the project.

The second demo version of APOCOLOKYNTOSYS have been self produced by new lineup of Empty Tremor directly in studio, with the result of a digital master with a ready-to-use quality sound.

At this point after a new press rotation of the advance tape, explosive reviews induced some labels to contact the group and to discuss about some possibility of deal.

The deal was signed in August 96 with PICK UP RECORDS for italy and in the early 97 with the RISING SUN RECORDS (Angra !!!) for Germany and also FANDANGO RECORDS in Japan has be reaceded (where a bonus track has been included).

The official album version of APOCOLOKYNTOSYS has been released in August 1997 in Europe and in October 1997 in Japan…

So the day by day hard work of those little guys has reached from their small town the interest of some international indipendent labels.

Don't you thing it's a interesting result !!!

Empty Tremor history begins in 1993 in Italy . At first the Band was called "Noise Pollution".
The musicians was between 12 &16 years old. They made " Metallica, Guns & Roses, Pink Folyd,
Led Zeppelin cover Songs. In early 95 the Band changed their name to "EMPTY TREMOR" introducing
defenitely some changes in line up. Their former singer De Paoli Davide left the band and Matteo Babbini
joined the band . At the end of the Summer a Demo Tape, 1st version of "APOCOLOKYNTOSYS"
was issued that met a great success but no deal came.
The 1st vesion "APOCOLOKYNTOSYS" demo tape has had the following tracks :

- De Magia Veterum (which become later "The Eyes Of Universe")
- Theater Of Drama (which become later "Rules Of Time")
- No More Fear *
- Apocolokyntosys (which become later "Apocolokyntosys")
- Alone In The Dark (which become later "The Message Keeper")
- Afterglow Forever (which become later "Running Rusty Rails")
- Prisoners In Chains (which has been seperated later the songs: "Middleman" + "Slice Of Life")
- Marvel Of Insanity (which become later "Screaming Loud The Sins Of The World")

* This song has never been released.

Note : The songs have had completly different lyrics and vocal melodys writen mostly by the singer
Matteo Babini.Also there are some changes in the arangments in the final album version.

So in 1996, they worked again on their Project, changed their singer. Matteo Babini left the band and
Giovanni De Luigi comes in. The 2nd version of "APOCOLOKYNTOSYS" have been self produced
by the Band itself. Then, some Labels contacted the group and to discuss about some possibility of deal.
The deal was signed in August 96 with Pick Up Records for Italy and in early 97 with Rising Sun Records
(Germany) for Europe and also with Fandango Records in Japan.
The result was the Official Release Of "APOCOLOKYNTOSYS".

Empty Tremor have reached great reviews with their awesome masterpice "APOCOLOKYNTOSYS"
and soon a fan base was builded all around the world.
The band were discribed as "the new generation of prog metal" and they were compared to prog gods
like DREAM THEATER, SHADOW GALLERY, LEMUR VOICE and SUPERIOR to name a few.
In 1997, the band have given some concerts in Italy. They also opened a show for ROYAL HUNT who are
a great neo-classical prog band from Denmark. During these concerts, Empty Tremor also played some
new songs (mostly instrumental tunes) and recieved great reaction from the audience.
We (the Fan Club) get in contact with the band in September 97 just after buying their 1st album.
We become friends and soon, we dicided to support this great talented young band.
"THE EYES OF UNIVERSE" was formed in January 1998 as The Official Empty Tremor Fan Club.

1998 is a very importent year for the band and their future. Empty Tremor have sold about 5000 copies
of "Apocolokyntosys" and hopefully with our support and help from all progressive music fans all around
the world (mostly through the Internet), they will have better promotions and will become more popular.
