QUESTION When did you get interested in music?
ANSWER Since I was a child, at about six. I started singing De André, Guccini and Battisti's songs: I knew many of them by heart. When I was seventeen I decided to embrace a classic guitar and to play the songs I used to sing, then I tried other songwriters like Baglioni, Vasco Rossi and many other artists from all over the world, especially David Bowie and The Beatles. All of them were equally important for me.
QUESTION When did you decide to write your own songs?
ANSWER While I was playing the songs of other artists I spontaneously changed the chords and even the words, to fit better my feeelings. Then I started to play the acoustic guitar because its particular sound inspired me, so I began to compose my own music. It was a gradual process: I used to write words and chords, sometimes I recorded everything with a tape recorder. Then I met a keyboard and...it was love at the first chord. Three years ago I decided to concretize all this work and, in a short lapse of time, I completed a number of songs, and recorded my first CD titled "FRAGMENTS", entirely self-produced.
QUESTION Why haven't you devoted full time to music so far?
ANSWER I still think that music is a wonderful activity, but I felt it would be too risky for me to rely entirely on it because I knew sad stories about it... So I decided to cultivate this my great passion in parallel with my studies in Architecture, waiting for better times.
QUESTION How many songs have you composed up to now and which is your way of composing?
ANSWER At the base there is an idea, experiences of mine or others, something that left in me a feeling and a desire to tell it. Lyrics and melody grow up together, in a mixed and messed way: a word becomes a sound and vice versa. To date I have composed forty-three songs.
QUESTION What about your future?
ANSWER I want to complete my studies in Architecture and at the same time to develop my musical activity expecially doing live concerts. Up to now I played and sang in public only a few times and people seemed to like very much my music: it was great! And then... I still feel so many songs inside...
