Pit bulls are now banned in the city of La Junta. La Junta City Council passed an ordinance banning pit bulls during its regular meeting Monday. The council voted 4-3 to pass the ordinance.

An ordinance banning pit bulls in the city of La Junta will be heard before city council on second reading at the Oct. 2 regular meeting. On Monday, the council voted 4-3 to pass the ordinance on first reading.
