NOT A DOG'S HOUSE
There was
something that wanted to be built,
business as
usual, without a doubt or guilt
Time was
ticking and chances going around
they were
devouring so much ground over ground
I just didn't
fit, was the odd one in the way,
and with me
pretty soon, they somehow did away
Many didn't
care, others were offended
I just wanted
out, soon looking to end it
New houses
and buildings more recently I could see
near the ones
that I knew, where empty lands used to be
Saw nothing
special to them, no feeling I could gather
as far as I
could see, stones and handwork put together
A whole
neighborhood or village, little by little there arose
lots of money
to be made, big business I suppose
lying out
there on the slopes, in the warmer April sun
and as for
me, well I've heard: "Not a dog's house, for now, son"
