Carissimi
amici/fans di John Denver,
sono
stato sinceramente felice di essere in Columbus, OH. lo scorso weekend
per "Windstar One World", organizzato da "Heart of Ohio Windstar Connection".
Che
gioia incontrare così tanta gente, simile nelle inclinazioni degli
obiettivi, che desidera portare avanti i propositi della Windstar. Ho avuto
l'opportunità di parlare, e più importante, di visitare tanti
compagni uno per uno, circa il futuro della Fondazione Windstar. Questo
è stato un vero piacere, e spero che sia stato piacevole per loro
così come lo è stato per me.
C'erano
molti gruppi di collegamento là ed io ho anche avuto il piacere
di incontrare Jim Toth,Presidente
della "Northern Ohio Windstar Connection"! Che uomo meraviglioso e così
simile nello spirito a come siamo noi. Egli ha ispirato molti compagni
ed ha creato un "modello" di programma per i gruppi di collegamento.
E'
stata la mia prima opportunità per incontrare e conoscere di più
il suo gruppo e le tante eccellenti cose che fanno nella loro comunità,
molte delle quali, noi (Windstar) spero potremmo emulare letteralmente
in tutto il mondo, dato che continuiamo ad espanderci e a crescere.
L'unico
mio dispiacere è stato che non c'erano molte persone riunite laggiù
per poter imparare ecrescere, non
tante almeno come io speravo ci potessero essere. Credo che l'anno prossimo
Jim Toth organizzerà l'evento a Cleveland, con l'aiuto di Nancy
Holloway a di "Heart of Ohio", e sono convinto che questo possa essere
di beneficio a tutti coloro che, se potranno, saranno presenti.
Dato che ho dato un'occhiata al grande progresso fatto quest'anno dalla Fondazione, sono eccitato circa il suo futuro. Abbiamo avuto un grande successo con "la settimana dei fanciulli" e "la settimana di Ed", entrambi i programmi fanno parte del ciclo voluto da Windstar "Educazione!". Inoltre abbiamo avuto un meraviglioso "Weekend del lavoro volontario" al quale ho potuto partecipare e che ha divertito tanti di noi lavorando appassionatamente, per ricostruire il sentiero sull'altopiano di meditazione di John, e piantare molti alberi e piante intorno alla diga del lago superiore, così come altri splendidi lavori che era necessario fare.
La
nostra seconda comunicazione è in spedizione e, grazie alla magia
dell'e-commerce, i compagni possono ora contattarci via Internet da tutto
il mondo al sito www.wstar.org Presto
avremo il nuovo documento per il "Programma di Connessione" in essere,
che permetterà alla gente di formare una connessione senza la sorpassata
creazione di un 501c3 per farlo. Abbiamo visto già compagni contattarsi
tra di loro e formare nuove collaborazioni dato che abbiamo guadagnato
nuovi membri. Credo che ci siano membri in 8 stati in tutto ora, e molti
in paesi esteri. Se ancora non avete deciso di partecipare con noi, vi
invito a farlo. E' tempo di "Entrare nella casa di Windstar!"
Come
spesso ricordo ai compagni, ogni volta che ho occasione di parlare con
loro, "Il lavoro non è finito!". Ci sono davvero tante cose da fare
per "sostenere la salvaguardia del nostro pianeta!".

Friends/Fans of John Denver,
It
was my sincere pleasure to be in Columbus, Ohio last weekend for “Windstar
One World”, put on by the “Heart of Ohio Windstar Connection”.
What
a joy to meet so many people, like minded in spirit, wanting to carry on
the vision of Windstar. I had the opportunity to both speak to and,
more importantly, visit with many folks one on one, about the future of
the Windstar Foundation. This was a real treat and I hope as good
for them as it was for me.
There
were many connections groups there and I also had the pleasure of meeting
Jim Toth, President of the “Northern Ohio Windstar Connection”! What
a wonderful man and kindred spirit in what we are all about. He has
inspired many folks and created a “model” connections program. This
was my first opportunity to meet and learn more about his group and the
many excellent things they do in their community, many of which, we (Windstar)
hope we can emulate literally around the globe as we continue to expand
and grow.
My
only regret is there weren’t more people there gathered to learn and grow
as I think we all did.
I
believe next year Jim Toth will be hosting the event in Cleveland, with
support from Nancy Holloway and the “Heart of Ohio” connection, and I am
confident this will be beneficial for everyone who can, to attend.
As
I look at the progress made so far this year by the foundation I am even
more excited about the future. We had another successful “Kids Week”
and “Ed Week” on the Windstar land, both of these programs being a part
of what Windstar is all about, “Education!” We also had a wonderful
“Volunteer Work Weekend” that I was able to attend and enjoy as many of
us worked our fanny’s off, to rebuild the path up to John’s meditation
platform, and plant many trees and plants around the dam of the upper lake,
as well as many other wonderful jobs that needed to be done.
Our
second newsletter is in the mail and, through the magic of e-commerce,
folks are now joining us from all over the world via the Internet at www.wstar.org,
our home page.
Soon
we will have the new charter for the “Connections Program” in place, allowing
people to form a connection without the hassle of creating a 501c3 to do
it. We are already seeing folks coming together and forming new connections
as we gain new membership. I think we have members in all but 8 states
now, and in many foreign lands.
If you have not yet chosen to participate with us, please do. This is the time to “Come Home to Windstar!” For as I keep reminding folks, each time I am given the chance to speak, “The Job’s Not Finished!” There is still so very much to do for the “environmental sustainability of our planet!”
