the counter should easily be added in dreamweaver when you're using the code view the thing about page counters is they are completely inaccurate. unless the count unique visitors, like the stats in most web panels do.

it's a personal preference, but i never add a page counter to a website. unless you're doing good traffic, you risk putting people off returning to your host should offer some kind of stats counter. why not just make do with that?

well i don't know what kind of page counter you have but, often, there is a java script that needs to be inserted between the <head> and </head) and then the html where you want it be be. don't know if this helps.
