gennaio: Baldwin & Basinger Head Back to Court - Former Hollywood couple Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger's bitter custody battle has got even nastier - as the pair plan another trip to trial.
The actors were granted a divorce just over a year ago, but they're now fighting over custody for their eight-year-old daughter, Ireland.
Baldwin sparked the new court battle after learning that an independent evaluator had recommended that Basinger gets permanent custody of the girl.
The couple have now sued and countersued each other, claiming physical and drug abuse.
Although Basinger's publicists claim the actress fears the upcoming court case will be bad for the couple's daughter, Baldwin is keen to seek justice.
A spokesman for the Pearl Harbor actor says, "We look forward to all these issues being resolved at trial."
Baldwin, Basinger In Custody Battle - A court battle is heating up between former married actors Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger over the custody of their 8-year-old daughter.
Specifics about the case aren't known because the file is not open to the public.

Baldwin and Basinger -- who starred together in the 1991 romantic comedy "The Marrying Man" -- married in August 1993 and divorced in February 2002.
As part of the divorce, she asked for physical custody of their daughter with the two of them sharing joint legal custody and Baldwin would have visitation rights.
Basinger won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for the 1997 crime drama "L.A. Confidential" and has starred in such films as "9 1/2 Weeks," "Batman" and "8 Mile."
Baldwin has appeared in such films as "Beetlejuice," "The Hunt for Red October," "Glengarry Glen Ross" and most recently, "The Cat in the Hat" and "The Cooler." |
