	Ricordate la partecipazione di Alec Baldwin a "Who wants to be a a millionaire" in novembre ? I $ 250,000 vinti sono stati destinati dall'attore e da Kim ad "Animal Sanctuary" che li ha investiti per realizzare due laghi a sud di Sacramento destinati ad elefanti ed orsi. Pat Derby, co-fondatrice dell'organizzazione, ha annunciato che il lago destinato agli elefanti è stato intitolato "Lake Baldwin", mentre il lago destinato agli orsi sarà chiamato "Lake Basinger".
	Sempre in tema di crisi tra Kim ed Alec, la rivista americana "Star" che uscirà domani riporta altri particolari della presunta lite tra i due : a quanto pare Alec sarebbe infastidito dal fatto che nei momenti di crisi, la moglie si attacca ossessivamente agli amici facendo loro eccessivi regali ed ultimamente pare che Kim stia trovando conforto in un'amica alla quale farebbe numerosi regali. Alec avrebbe chiesto alla moglie di tagliare questa persona fuori dalle loro vite e a questo farebbero riferimento le foto della rivista che ritraggono Kim ed Alec nel bel mezzo di un litigio di fronte al ristorante "Estia" vicino a casa loro.

La rivista americana "Star" nel nuovo numero ( che trovate nella sezione copertine A-F, ringrazio Michele M. per avermi mandato la copertina ) affronta nuovamente i problemi tra Kim ad Alec, sembra a questo punto che la separazione sia vicina, bisogna però sentire dalla voce dei due attori la verità. In tutta questa vicenda rincara la dose la rivista "National Enquirer" che riporta che Kim ha passato il Natale ad Athens e nel frattempo ha già contattato degli avvocati divorzisti prima di trasferirsi a Los Angeles. Alec, a quanto riporta la rivista, è irremovibile nel suo trasferimento a New York e la rivista conclude preannunciando un'aspra lotta tra i due per la custodia della figlia di 5 anni, Ireland. Anche in considerazione del fatto che sia "Star" che "National Enquirer" sono riviste scandalistiche, non bisogna prendere per oro colato ciò che riportano.

Oggi esce in Inghilterra in 263 sale "Bless the child".

7 gennaio - Si avvicina la serata dei "Golden Globes": Alec Baldwin ha ottenuto la nomination come miglior attore per la miniserie televisiva "Nuremberg", la serata sarà una buona occasione per verificare se Kim & Alec si presenteranno insieme alle premiazioni smentendo così di fatto le voci sulla loro crisi matrimoniale. Ancora non ci sono notizie sui prossimi progetti cinematografici di Kim, rimane ancora sulla carta la partecipazione al prossimo episodio di "Batman", il quinto della serie, mentre pare ormai abbandonato il progetto di "Prime Suspect".

9 gennaio - Il tg5 delle 13.00 ha dedicato un servizio ai film di prossima uscita di argomento soprannaturale ed ha dedicato un po' di spazio a "Bless the child", il quale - se non cambiano le cose - uscirà il 20 aprile in Italia, mentre negli USA è prevista l'uscita del DVD in febbraio.

13 gennaio - Dopo numerose voci e smentite finalmente è arrivata la comunicazione ufficiale, Kim & Alec hanno firmato per ottenere il divorzio !!! Ieri è stata ufficializzata la separazione per la classica formula "irreconcilable differences" dopo 7 anni di matrimonio ( Kim ha presentato istanza alla Superior Court di Los Angeles ed in base al documento risulta che la coppia di fatto è già separata dal mese scorso - addirittura dal 5 dicembre - e temporaneamente, fino alla decisione definitiva, la custodia della piccola Ireland è stata concessa a Kim ). Kim & Alec si incontrarono nel 1990 sul set del film "Bella bionda...e dice sempre sì" e si sposarono 3 anni dopo nel 1993. Pare che tra i vari motivi di disaccordo vi sia anche la decisione sulla residenza coniugale, Kim vuole abbandonare Long Island e trasferirsi sulla costa occidentale ( secondo Kim, l'asma della figlia sarebbe aggravata dall'inquinamento di Long Island ). Ora Kim vive con la figlia di 5 anni a Los Angeles, mentre Alec si è trasferito a New York. Purtroppo, allo stato attuale delle cose tra i due pare veramente finita, per Kim si apre una nuova vita, anche professionale.

23 gennaio - Ancora notizie sul divorzio, ormai è il tema principale - se non unico -  di gennaio ! Una parentesi su Alec : l'attore non ha vinto il Golden Globe per la sua interpretazione in "Nuremberg" e non si è neppure presentato alla serata di premiazione domenica scorsa.

	L'Arena : "E' ufficiale. Kim Basinger e Alec Baldwin hanno deciso di divorziare. La coppia di attori, una delle più in vista di Hollywood, da tempo era in crisi. La protagonista di 9 settimane e 1/2 ha presentato alla Corte Superiore di Los Angeles un'istanza per avviare la procedura di divorzio. Nei documenti vengono citate divergenze inconciliabili tra i due. Kim Basinger ha chiesto l'affidamento di Ireland, la bimba di 5 anni nata dall'unione.".

Don Basinger says Baldwin's verbal abuse of his wife was a problem, especially when he became angry in front of the couple's 5-year-old daughter, Ireland. In the new issue of People, Basinger's dad says that while Baldwin was never physically abusive, his inability to control his temper led to the split. "I love Alec," Don tells the mag. "He's the most kind and generous man I've ever known in my life, and he's overcome some very difficult things. All but one: his anger." According to Kim's father, his famous daughter implored her husband to seek counseling for his anger, but it failed because "Alec goes one time, two times, then quits." He adds that Kim was thinking about divorce for a year and a half before finally filing the papers Jan. 12. She claimed "irreconcilable differences" in the petition. Tabloids had speculated about the couple's demise for months, and one even ran photos of the pair having a nasty public argument outside a restaurant. Baldwin is "sad" about the separation, one of the actor's friends notes to People. Baldwin is currently living in New York, where he splits his time between the Hamptons and a Manhattan apartment. Basinger is staying in her Woodland Hills, Calif., home with her daughter, People reports. Still, her father seems optimistic. "Who knows?" he muses. "They might even get back together a year or two from now." Back in 1998, Baldwin was fined for negligence in a case following his 1995 tussle with a photographer who tried to snap his family as they came home after Ireland's birth. The actor kicked and hit the paparazzo — who was also found negligent by the jury — but claimed self-defense.".
	Star Magazine : "As her marriage to actor Alec Baldwin spirals out of control with insiders predicting it's heading for divorce court Kim Basinger is lavishing expensive gifts on a woman whose attention she's become obsessed with, says a source close to the actress. "Her family is worried sick," says an old pal, "and Alec is furious. "He doesn't want her spending any more of their money on this woman.". "One way Alec exerted power over Kim was by constantly reminding her of her disastrous financial history," says a friend, referring to Basinger filing for bankruptcy in 1993. "He took over the family finances and basically put her on an allowance." In their hometown in the Hamptons, a source recalls Basinger paying modest bills at the local pharmacy with a credit card, remarking that Baldwin "probably likes it that way so he can see to the last cent what she's spent.". "Alec's demanded she cut this woman out of her life, but Kim refuses to change." Insiders say the actress is getting support from her female pal that she misses from her husband. "All this has added to the problems of their crumbling marriage," says the source. "Kim's family is very concerned about her.". This isn't the first time the Oscar winner has latched onto someone for support. "Kim's had a number of extremely close relationships over the years whenever she's felt vulnerable and riddled with insecurity," another source reports. As a young model in New York, Basinger regarded modeling agency boss Eileen Ford as a second mother. Ford model booker Sue Charney also became a confidante. Basinger depended upon both women, says a source, and relied on them to help her get through the day. "These relationships are extremely deep and intense. "It's as if she worships the person to the point where he or she can do no wrong." Basinger has admitted to being plagued by anxiety attacks, depression and agoraphobia, which once confined her to her home for weeks on end. "Kim has experienced panic attacks all her life," the source says. "She had an attack in 1998 while attending a party with Bill and Hillary Clinton at her home in New York. She ended up sobbing hysterically on the floor in the bathroom." Her sister, Ashley Brewer, admits that Basinger is painfully shy. "When we were growing up, we had two older brothers whose friends were always asking Kim out on a date. She'd run into her room and lock the door. She hated the attention." Pals think Basinger's fragile state must make her tumultuous relationship with Baldwin, 42, even more difficult for her to bear. Several times recently, they have erupted in public screaming matches. Their rocky relationship was dealt a serious blow a month ago, as Star revealed in our Dec. 19, issue, when the couple was caught on camera arguing outside Estia, a restaurant near their home. And in the shocking scene, Baldwin verbally attacked his wife. "Alec was loudly berating Kim right there on the street -- screaming in her face and not letting her get a word in. "He was bellowing like a big bully." Finally Kim jumped into the car and flew off alone. That was the last straw, sources say, and Basinger began looking for a good divorce lawyer. Basinger, who commands $5 million per movie, and Baldwin, who earns $1.5 million per flick, have been renovating their dream home, Stony Hill Farms, in the swanky Hamptons community of Amagansett. The couple rented a place while the work was being completed, but for some time Baldwin has been at their apartment in Manhattan, while Basinger, 47, and daughter, Ireland, 5, stayed at the rented home on Long Island. Now, they have stopped the renovations and the word is they want to sell the property. Local realtors say the house and surrounding land should bring $5 million. With all the pressure, Basinger is stressed, say insiders, and that's when she has a pattern of turning to others for comfort. Now friends fear her history of becoming obsessed is repeating itself and say the object of her latest fixation is a woman who is the recipient of a number of very expensive gifts. Adds another source close to the family: "This woman is clearly filling a void in Kim's life that were created by her marriage problems. "As she and Alec's fights have become nastier and more public, Kim has turned to this woman for comfort".

Sempre per febbraio (13) è prevista l'uscita del DVD americano di "Bless the child" (formato video 1.85:1 anamorfico e colonna sonora Dolby Digital 5.1, commento audio del regista Chuck Russell, 29,95 dollari).

Ieri sera Rai 2, al posto del programma prestabilito, ha mandato in onda "Bella, bionda...e dice sempre sì" con uno share del 9,97 %. Il precedente passaggio televisivo del film risale al 12 settembre 2000 su Rai 3 con uno share del 6,90 %.

26 gennaio - Oggi esce in Spagna "Bless the child" col titolo "La bendición", ecco la trama del film in spagnolo "Maggie O´Connor lleva una vida tranquila trabajando como enfermera en un gran hospital de Nueva York. Hasta que una tarde lluviosa de Nochebuena, su hermana pequeña y descarriada, Jenna, aparece en el portal de su casa y le deja a su cargo a Cody, su hija recién nacida. A Maggie no le cuesta mucho esfuerzo cuidar de Cody y enseguida se convierte en la hija que ella nunca ha tenido. La lleva a un centro especial porque parece que la niña sufre algún tipo de alteración comunicativa, como un inicio de autismo.
