The CLARINO ENSEMBLE is the result of many years' work developing music-making with wind instruments, carried out by Luca Lucchetta who teaches clarinet at the Portogruaro School of Music.
The idea is to present to the public both original compositions and pieces from opera and symphonic works especially arranged for the ensemble.
Soloists on other instruments also appear.
The repertoire, which ranges from Bach to contemporaney music, taking in classics from popular music and Jazz, brings to the fore the particular sonority typical of the clarinet.
Among those who have helped both the ensemble and the individual players in their developement are such internationally famous musicians as:
The group, which is composed of pupils and former pupils of the Portogruaro School of Music,as well as their teachers, has performed in noumeros cities in Italy, completed a successful tour of Germany and made a large number of television and radio recordings.
The composers Roberto Cittadini and Mario Pagotto have dedicated certain pieces published by Pizzicato Music publishers to the Clarino Ensemble.
