Second Announcement
Dear Colleagues,
Thanks to everybody for your answer to our first announcement, we’ve received 30 interesting titles (from Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Norway, People Republic of China, Poland, Russia, United Kingdom)
With this circular we want to inform you about some solutions for your accommodations in Rome and the way of registration at the conference.
GETTING THERE & AWAY
From the airport there is a direct train, the "Leonardo Express", to the Termini (central) Train Station. It leaves every 30 minutes, from 7.37 am to 22.37. The price of the ticket is ITL 16.000. The trip is around 30 minutes. There are also taxi: the price is around ITL 50.000 (usually depends of the distance, plus ITL 14.000 as a "from/to airport tax").
From the Termini Station to the airport there is the same train every 30 minutes, from 6.51 am to 21.51. If you want to leave Rome by taxi to the airport, we warmly suggest you to book a taxi inside your hotel, or check with the Conference Staff.
Inside the city, you have two Metro lines. In order to reach the University, the most convenient station is "Policlinico" on the "blue line". The ticket of Rome's Metro costs ITL 1.500, and it can be used for one metro trip and 75 minutes on every public bus. You can buy tickets in all metro station, newspaper and tabac shops. The public bus company offers also various ticketing solutions, such as daily tickets and others. The University can be reached also in 15 minutes by foot from Termini train station.
If you prefere to take a taxi, there is a taxi station outside Termini and in all main places of the city. The telephone number of" radiotaxi" is 063570.

Close to our university there are some Hotels, but all have a limited number of rooms, so if you want to book a room, it will be better for you to send a fax or e.mail to the following hotels as soon as possible. It’s also advised that you send us a copy of your reservation, so that we can check if the hotel has received and confirmed your reservation,

There are also available some single rooms in the students’ dormitory (very standard room, without bathroom), close to the University of Rome "La Sapienza". The price is £ 20.000 (without bathroom and breakfast not included). But we must reserve the right number of rooms we’ll need, so whoever is interested in this kind of room, please inform us as soon as possible.
Registration
The conference registration fee will be Italian Lira 60.000 (Euro 30,98), and it will be paid at the moment of the registration in Rome, on Sept. 6, 2001.
We also remember to you that the next deadline for receipt of abstracts is March 31, 2001.
Abstracts should be camera-ready, limited to one page (A4 size), neatly type-written, single spaced, in 12-point type, with 2,5 cm margins. Two copies are required, one with the author’s full name and institution, and one without. The abstract should be sent by mail (and, if possible, also by e-mail). to the following address:
