Born in San Benedetto del Tronto (AP)
Italy. With
approximately 31
years employed in a Maritime Agency - Custom broker, busy
exclusively with ships. My first approaches with radio go back in
the 1964 having in my home a tube receiver IRRADIO, subsequently
with one radio Allocchio Bacchini I followed in December 1970
and January 1971 the recovery of oceanic Fishing Trawler “RODI”,
sunk in the Adriatic Sea - South of Ancona, with disastrous
consequences ........ Left voluntary in Navy in 1973, I didn't
accept the carreer because of my registration and successive call
near the local school for Ship's Radiotelegraphist - I.A.L . This
Institute prepared excellent Ship's Radio Operators in this years.
Recalled in
Navy in January 1974 I have lend service until December of 1975 in
the category nurses, but my acquaintances “cw-radio” and my
real origin considered, I helped when necessary an old Chief R/T,
than seen my great passion for the telegraphy proposed me to change
my category but it was not possible because of the many problems
that would be fated. I had earned sympathy and esteem by the Chief to
the point to replace him (with the approval of the Commando)
in the turns of watch and this naturally with my great and
immense satisfaction.
