Business confidence in Massachusetts jumped to its highest level in nearly two years as employers expressed optimism about sales, hiring, and the national and state economies, Associated Industries of Massachusetts reported. AIM's business confidence index rose to 59.9, up 2.9 points from September and more than a point from a year ago. It was the best reading in 20 months.
