Marlene Weber's career as a hairdresser was inspired when she was 6 years old, with a defective doll. Weber's Susie Walker Doll, purchased by her mother at the Bloomingdale's bargain basement, didn't walk one step. So Weber did the next best thing. She played with the doll's hair.
