Cento Camerelle

A structure formed by two superimposed cisterns of considerable capacity would seem to have belonged to a luxurious villa that occupied the whole of the promontory and extended down the slope to the Poggio shore. The upper structure is a water cistern with four parallel corridors intercomunicating by means of great archways, on the lower floor there are a series of parallel galleries intersected at right angles by low, narrow passages and opening towards the sea.
