Discovered 1993 Sept. 17 at Stroncone

      Named in honor of  Silvano Casulli ( b. 1944 ), who was the first amateur astronomer in the world to obtain precise astronometric positions of minor planets using a CCD camera . He lives and works near Rome, and his great enthusiasm played a significant role in organizing the amateur astrometrists in Italy.
