President Saddam Hussein conferred on Monday with speaker of the Russian duma /parliament/ Genady Seelznov. 

The Russian official conveyed, during the audience, verbal message to president Hussein from president Vladimir Putin focused on the political situation, means of cementing bilateral ties and Putin's support to Iraq. 

Present at the audience was speaker of Iraq's national assembly Dr. Sadoun Hammadi and foreign minister Dr. Naji Sabri.
