Baghdad, Feb. 25, Ina

The air defence commands told Ina that the Anglo-U.S. warplanes on Sunday and Monday carried out 64 armed sorties backed by AWACS plane coming from Saudi and e-2c plane from Kuwait territory.

Our air defence units and missile force intercepted the U.S. and British ravens and forced them to leave our airspace.

the spokesman added that the evil warplanes violated our airspace and flew over civil targets in bsia, artawi, nassria, samawa, rifaie, kalat suker, dewania, hai, najaf, nekhaib, kurna, rahalia, amara, nuamania, hashimia, kut, talha and rutba.

he made it clear that the gross figure of armed sorties coming from turkey, Saudi and kuwait territory launched by the Anglo-U.S. ravens over period dec. 17, 1998-Feb. 24, 2003 totalled 49,386.
