Foreign Minister-Letter

Iraq has notified UN chief Kofi Annan on the military build-ups by the U.S. and Britain on Kuwait territory for launching new aggression on Iraq. 

In a letter to Annan, foreign minister Dr. Naji Sabri said that the Kuwait authorities and the U.S. forces opened on the 7th instance seven holes in the electric wall between Iraq and Kuwait and the intention of Kuwaiti authorities to open further 35 holes before mar to pave the way for the new aggression against Iraq. 

The letter confirmed that the threat to use force by the U.S. against Iraq represented by flagrant breaching of the security council resolutions and UN charter and posed serious threat to the global peace and stability.
