The Pieniny National park, that covers the area of 2125 ha is situated near to slovak- polish frontier, north-east from the Hight Tatra mountains. Its unusual natural beauties, rocky mountain ridges, rich fauna and flora are the things, that attract people very much. The most attractive for the tourists is the antique carthusian-camaldul convent from the XIV. century with the national museum and the possibility of walking, water sports and very interesting rafting on typical  goral rafts. The organized rafting with lenght of 10 km on the river Dunajec, that forms the frontier between Poland and Slovakia. The nicest part of the voyage is among in the miraculous straits of the Dunajec from Cerveny Klastor to Lesnica.

Tatra (Slovak Tatry), mountainous chain of central Europe belonged to the western Carpazis, wide along the border between Poland and Slovakia. The High Tatras, situated to north of the valley of the Váh, culminate in the 2655 ms of the Gerlachovský Stít mountain; the most elevated of the Low Tatras is the Dumbier (2043 ms). The inferior slopes of the chain are covered by forests of pines; the region includes some national parks, included the National Park of Tatras Mountains. Founded in 1949, it covers a surface of around 510 kmqs and it is surrounded by a protected area of others 700 kmqs. Purpose of the park is a great deal the guardianship of a suggestive mountainous landscape and of its natural patrimony. With its numerous peaks, the chain of the High Tatras is the most imposing of the western Carpazis, of which it boasts the tallest peak, the Gerlachovský štít (2655 ms). Besides the suggestive mountainous tops, the park includes more than one hundred lakes, deep valleys, falls and rents woods of fir-trees. The vegetation, extremely varied, enumerates 1200 kinds of ferns and fanerogames. As many rich it is the fauna with numerous rare kinds of birds and mammals.
