FANTASY ILLUSTRATORS

Rodney Matthews

This mainly fantasy artist has tied his name to the covers of many progressive rock performers (Asia, Eloy, Wakeman, amongst others).

Patrick Woodroffe

Another fantasy artist, well known to progressive rock followers for the cover-art of Pallas' "The Sentinel".

Roger Dean

Possibly the most famous artist in his genre, though the covers of Yes' albums are the best known, he has painted the artworks for Greenslade, Uriah Heep, Badger, Ad Infinitum and others as well.

Paul Whitehead

His name recalls the cover artworks for 70's Genesis and Van Der Graaf Generator, but he also graced some albums by Tom Fogerty and Le Orme.

Wojtek Siudmak

The surrealistic cover-art for Eloy's "Ocean" is a perfect example of this artist's highly imaginative style, influenced by both mythology and science-fiction.

Mark Wilkinson

He provided the covers for all Marillion albums of the Fish era, then he kept working for Fish's solo records. The Jester is one of his characters.

Simon Williams

Another artist whose name is easily associated with a prog band: Pendragon, in this case, but his magical artworks are also featured on Mike Batt's works and the Classic Christmas compilation album.

Kim Poor

Almost every Steve Hackett's album has a cover artwork painted by his brazialian wife, Kim. Genesis' lyrics inspired many of her works, collected in a book of lithographs, watercolours, oils, etc.
